PROFESSIONAL INTERNSHIPS
Aquila has many opportunities for talented, ambitious, hard working individuals.
Acting
This is a touring position. The qualified candidate will play a major role in the mainstage production, and will fulfill Assistant Stage Managerial and technical duties. This is a fine opportunity for an early-career actor to experience touring, and to perform two classical plays as a member of a repertory ensemble.
Directing
The directing intern will be present throughout rehearsals in a support position, helping to keep the rehearsal room running smoothly. The ideal candidate has a directorial vision of a repertory ensemble.
Technical Theatre
This internship requires a basic proficiency and knowledge of technical theatre. Requires a self-motivator to work in conjunction with our Technical Director. Applicants should indicate their area of speciality, i.e. lights, sound, carpentry, costumes.
Administration/Production
This internship places the qualified candidate in the busy office of a professional, non-profit, classical theatre company. Basic office and computer skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an interest in marketing and publicity a must.
Music
The ideal candidate for a Music internship is a talented musician with an interest in original composition for the stage. The intern will assist the company through the composition of an original score through the rehearsal process of a mainstage production.
Time Frames
Submit an application to be considered for a professional internship. Due to the volume of the Aquila productions, there are openings on a rolling basis throughout the year. All applications will be considered and placed on file. If your information is suitable, you will be contacted to schedule an interview or an audition when an opening becomes available.
